About the opportunity
5IP Technology GmbH is a Switzerland-based technology startup, and we are looking for talented individuals to join us as Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs).
This is not a conventional software engineering role. We are looking for people who can understand a business problem, think through how technology and AI can solve it, and then actually build and deploy the solution.
Who we are looking for
You may be a good fit if you have:
- Strong business acumen — the ability to understand how businesses operate and identify the real problem that needs solving.
- Excellent communication skills — you should be comfortable working directly with customers and translating business needs into solutions.
- AI agent-building skills — the ability and curiosity to build applications, workflows, and agents using modern AI tools.
- Systems thinking — the ability to understand how different parts of a business, process, and technology stack fit together.
- A builder mindset — you enjoy figuring things out, experimenting, and turning ideas into working solutions.
Experience is not a prerequisite.
We care much more about your ability to think, learn, and build than the number of years you have worked.
The role
You will work closely with businesses to understand their challenges and use AI, software, and automation to design and deploy practical solutions.
